In an era of disposable goods, some things are worth preserving. More than a piece of clothing, the kimono embodies centuries of Japanese culture, history, and artistry. Our handcrafted pillows showcase the luxurious silk, rich colors and intricate patterns of vintage kimonos.

 

At Kigi we're breathing new life into these vintage fabrics, pairing them with other textiles, like Hawaiian prints that also pay homage to their culture of origin.  We use zero lot vintage fabric that has never been worn.  With sustainability in mind, we make every effort to use all parts of a vintage kimono.  Many of our trims are vintage or hand sewn from kimono silk.
